Alex: Are you a pah-pah or a kah-kah?
Daddy: Um… I’m a pah-pah.
Alex (smiling): No, you’re a fah-see-kah.


(Claire is wearing new PJs.)
Alex: I bought those.
Daddy: What?
Alex: I’m talking to Claire.
Alex (to Claire): Claire, I bought those. I bought those for you.


(bath time)

Alex: No - no bath time today, Claire, you just took your bath.
Alex (to himself): It’s my bath time now.

Alex: He got it all wet over the place.

Alex: When the water drains, he will say “I wanna swim in it”. He will say that.

(Daddy drains the water from the tub.)
Alex: What's that?
Daddy: What's that?
Alex: A whale?
Daddy: No.
Alex: A dolphin?
Daddy: No.
Alex: How ‘bout a boy slipping?
Daddy: No.


Alex: Does your back hurt?
Daddy: Yes.
Alex: Okay.


(playing house)
The Mommy: I’m going to work.
The other Mommy: I’m going to work too.
The Mommy: You can’t go to work, you have to stay here.
The other Mommy: I want to go somewhere.
The Mommy: You can’t go anywhere.
The other Mommy: Can I go to the store?
The Mommy: Not anywhere.
The other Mommy: Can I go for a run?
The Mommy: No, you can’t go for a run.
The other Mommy: What can I do?
The Mommy: You can go in the house and eat, and you can’t go somewhere, okay?
The other Mommy: Okay.
The Mommy: Now go eat, okay?
The other Mommy: Okay.


Alex: I wanna put the bunny away. And the stroller.

Alex (pointing at Curious George in the Snow): What's that – oh it's snowing!
Daddy: Yeah.
Alex (pointing): What's he doing?
Daddy: Curious George Feeds the Animals.
Alex: What – I don’t know what that is.
Daddy: Curious George Feeds the Animals.
Alex: No he doesn’t feed the animals.
Daddy: Oh.
Alex (pointing at Curious George Goes Camping): He goes camping.
Alex (pointing at Curious George Goes to a Movie): And George takes a movie.
Alex (pointing at Curious George’s Dream): George’s bedtime.
Alex (pointing at Curious George Makes Pancakes): What’s he doing now?
Daddy: He’s making pancakes.
Alex (pointing): And what’s he doing?
Daddy: Curious George and the Dump Truck.
Alex (pointing at Curious George and the Puppies): And what’s he doing – oh that’s the puppies.
Alex (pointing): Now what’s he doing?
Daddy: Curious George Goes to a Chocolate Factory.
Alex (pointing): What’s that one?
Daddy: Curious George at the Parade.
Alex (pointing): What’s this one?
Daddy: Curious George Visits a Toy Store.
Alex: Yeah I know that one.
Alex (pointing): And what’s this one, Daddy?
Daddy: Curious George Goes to a Costume Party.
Alex: Yeah.
Alex (pointing at Curious George and the Firefighters): And what’s this one? The firefighters.
Daddy: That’s right.
Alex (pointing at Curious George Visits the Library): And this is the library.
Daddy: That’s right.
Alex (pointing at Curious George and the Birthday Surprise): And this is the balloons.
Daddy: That’s right.
Alex (pointing at Curious George Takes a Train): And this the train thing.
