I have a better idea to get the ants out of our house.

(Mommy and Daddy are asleep in bed. Alex goes into their room.)
Alex (whispering): Mommy?
Mommy: What?
Alex: I have a better idea to get the ants out of our house.
Mommy: What?
Alex: I have a better idea to get the ants out of our house.
Mommy: What? How?
Alex: I have a better idea to get the ants out of our house.
Mommy: What? Tell me.
Alex: We put sticky things – sticky things around our house, and the ants stick on them.

(Claire is coloring.)
Claire: I’m makin’ baby snails – I’m makin’ baby snails – but they’re their tall… persons.
Daddy: Yeah?
Claire: Yeah. They’re their families.

Claire: Look Daddy.
Daddy: Look at that! That’s pretty!
Claire: It’s a snail house.

Alex: Maybe Claire will pick Bob. Because we never see it.
Daddy: You know why we never watch Bob anymore? Because you never pick it! You always pick Busytown. You could always pick Bob and then pick Busytown another time.

Alex: Well, Busytown is so much fun.
