(Claire, Mommy, and Daddy are downstairs. Alex is upstairs by himself, screaming and crying.)
Claire: Uh Ay-yah come down.
Daddy: Alex will come down when he's ready.
Claire: Uh Ay-yah be happy.
Daddy: Aw, that's sweet.
Claire: Ay-yah be happy.
Mommy: Awww.


(Claire is pretending to eat dinner at the little table.)
Claire (looking down on the floor): Strawberry down there.
Claire: Uh get it.
(Claire picks up an imaginary strawberry with her foot.)


Claire: Uh get you, Daddy!
Daddy: Oh no, you're gonna get me!
Claire: Bird get you!
(Claire grabs Daddy with "bird hands".)


Claire: Rain, Daddy! Rain coming!
Daddy: Yeah!
Alex: The rain’s already raining! The weather got all wet.

Claire: Uh thunder come, boom!
(Claire laughs.)


(Alex is holding a yoga block in front of him, saying nothing.)
Daddy: What's that, Alex?
Alex: I'm getting, this is the part o' pea. I'm getting peas in my garden.


(Alex and Claire are looking out the window at the rain.)
Alex: Pitter pot, pitter pot, pitter drop.
Claire: Pitter pop, pitter pop.


Alex: I said that Daddy, when you were in the playroom. Where the trains are.
Daddy: Yeah, what's that room called?
Alex: The second playroom.


Alex (pointing to dots on the back of his pizza): Daddy? If there's one here and one here and one here, that makes a face on your face.
Daddy: Yeah.
Alex: There's a nose and your eyes.
