Mommy: Why not?
Alex: Because you couldn't watch Daddy's game.
Claire (peeking out of the bathroom, grinning): I have hiccups!
(Alex is being silly.)
Daddy: You're not being serious right now, are you?
Alex: I am being serious.
Daddy: And don't call me Shirley.
Alex (to Daddy): Shirley.
(Alex smiles.)
