Zuh-bah!

(Daddy comes home from work.)
Alex: Daddy daddy! Daddy daddy daddy! Daddy daddy!
Alex: Grandma and Grandpa came back (mumble mumble) ‘cause Grandpa’s car’s at the airport.

(dinner time)

Mommy: Tell Daddy what we did today.
Alex: I went to the playground and then I run errands and then I was done.

(Claire bangs her cup on the table.)
Alex: We don't bang the table.

Alex: We’re gonna scoot you back, Claire. You’re banging the table.

Alex: May I have a circle?
Daddy: What circle?
Alex (pointing at Daddy): I want that circle.
Daddy: Where's the circle?
Alex (pointing into the family room): Over there.
Mommy: What are you looking at?
Alex: Honey.
Mommy: Honey?
Alex: Yeah, that's honey.
Mommy: What's honey?
Alex (pointing at the table): Um, that honey.

(Alex hears a sound.)
Alex: What's that, Daddy? Is it your milk?
Daddy: No.
Alex: Is it your door?
Daddy: No.
Alex: Is it your toy?
Daddy: No.
Alex: Is it your computer?
Daddy: No.
Alex: Is it your truck?
Daddy: No.
Alex: Is it your… um, pah-dah?
Daddy: What?
Alex: Your pah-dah? My pah-dah?

Claire: Zuh-bah!
