(Alex and Claire are watching Blue’s Clues. Alex wants to know why the characters on Blue's Clues always play Blue’s Clues.)
Daddy: I think they always play Blue’s Clues because it’s Blue’s favorite game.
Alex: But they always play, Steve has to go to work!


Alex: At Brady’s party, why did the goat, um, bite me?

Mommy: What made you think of that?
Alex: I remembered it.


Alex: Why did the snayman hit Claire’s head?
Daddy: Why? I don’t know.
Alex: Because –
(Alex knocks on both sides of his head.)
Alex: Knock knock! Somebody was knocking at the door! Hello!


Alex: What do daddies get for Christmas?


Alex: You tell me a joke.
Daddy: Um… how many longshoremen does it take to change a lightbulb?
Alex: I don’t know.
Daddy: Three!
(Alex laughs.)
