(lunch)
Daddy: Are you guys driving Mommy crazy?
Alex: No.
(Pause.)
Alex: Not anymore.
Alex: It’s really noisy in here.
Daddy: Yeah.
Alex: Your coffee – the coffee maker’s loud and the washing machine’s loud.
Daddy: Yeah.
Alex: And I’m tryin’ to eat.
Daddy: Yeah.
Alex: If it’s really noisy in your house, and you’re tryin to sleep, it would wake you up, and then, you would run downstairs and see, what it was.
Daddy: That’s right.
(Alex is in his bed during nap time.)

Mommy (frustrated): Then don’t eat it! Stop telling me that, Claire!
(Pause.)
Alex: I like it.
Mommy: Good.
Alex: You can be happy with me.
Alex: Meg’s really crazy. Meg’s so silly. Meg’s so crazy.
(bed time)
Daddy: I wanna tell you how much I love you. Do you know how much I love you?
Alex: A lot.
Daddy: To the moon and back, Little Nutbrown Hare.
Alex: You have brown hair.
Daddy: And you’re a little nut.
