(The following phrase was repeated several times throughout the morning.)
Alex: I don’t wanna go to preschool.
Alex (to Mommy): Underwear is called undie pants.
Mommy: Let go.
(Alex’s response is inaudible.)
Mommy: That's not my tummy.
Alex: What is it?
Mommy: It's my breast.
Alex: Oh.
(Pause.)
Alex: I don't have a breast.
Mommy: No, women have them.
(Mommy puts Alex down for nap, then goes downstairs. Alex shouts down the stairs.)
Alex: Mommy?!
Mommy (shouting back up the stairs): Yeah.
Alex: I didn't say all the door stuff.
Mommy: Okay.
Alex: Play door frame, what is it?
Mommy: Door frame.
Alex: And play door knob, and play door frame, and play door, and bang on the door.
Mommy: Okay.
