(Claire and Alex come home from school.)
Claire: Daddy! Piggy tails! Little piggy tails. Little piggy tails.
Daddy: Do you have piggy tails?
Claire: Yeah. Little piggy tails.
Alex: I wanna touch them.
(Alex touches Claire’s pigtails.)
Claire (to Alex): Uh have piggy tails, Ah-yah?
Alex: No… I can’t… Boys don’t… wear piggy tails on their hair.
(Alex is saying “his words” to Mommy at nap time.)
Alex: … and play Daddy. I say that because I love Daddy a lot.
(Daddy is lying on the sofa.)
Claire: You sick, Daddy?
Daddy: Yeah.
Alex: Are you still a little bit sick, Daddy?
Daddy: I’m still a lot sick.
Alex: Why are you a little bit, and a lot sick?
Daddy: Because I'm not better yet.
Mommy: Hey guys, thanks for playing so nicely –
(Claire screams at Alex.)
Mommy: Well.
(Alex plays with his matchbox cars.)
Alex: Kirk’s my best friend.
Alex: Oh no. Kiiiiiiiiiiiirk!
Alex: Come on, Kirk!
(Alex plays with the barn. Apparently, a thunderstorm is coming.)
Alex: Everyone get in the barn!
Alex: Everyone get in the barn!
Alex: Everyone get in the barn!
Alex: BOOOOOM!
Alex: BOOOOOM!
Alex: BOOOOOM!
Alex: I like the baseball, ‘cause it’s my favorite ball.
Alex: I love this pan. I looooove this pan. I wanna play with it for the rest of the day.
