And there was a big bad wolf, and he blowed their houses down. That's what wolves do.

Alex: Tell me a story.
Daddy: Okay. Um, once upon a time there were three little pigs. And they decided to build some houses.
Alex: And there was a big bad wolf, and he blowed their houses down. That's what wolves do.

Alex (on the toy phone): Who's there? Oh hi, Grandpa. How are you doing today?

Alex (pointing to the remotes): That's the thing what turns off my TV, and that's the thing what turns the bear on.

Alex: I'm gonna have chocolate muffins for snack.

Alex: Muffins are like cake.

Alex: Daddy, will you play instruments? I like to play instruments with you.

Daddy: What do you see?
Alex: I don't see anyhting, I'm just looking around... for my missing thing.

(Alex is talking on the toy phone.)
Alex: Hi.
(Pause.)
Alex: Yeah, I will grow big to be a daddy.
(Pause.)
Alex: Yeah. That’s right.
(Pause.)
Alex: Yeah?
(Pause.)
Alex: Yeah.
(Pause.)
Alex: Hey.
(Pause.)
Alex: That’s right.

Alex: Now I'm gonna snuggle with my dad.

Alex: Claire, you wanna snuggle with me? I really wanna snuggle with you.

Alex: How, can I get Claire to –
Alex: Oh that's not it, let me get a stick.
Alex: How can I get Claire to snuggle? How – can I – get – Claire – to snuggle! How – can – I – get – Claire!

Alex: The pumpkin card, um, sticked on my foot. When I walked the other way. So I'm sorry. The pumpkin card is sorry.

(dinner time)

Alex: Is that turkey, Daddy?
Daddy: It's chicken. Just like you have.
Alex: My chicken's cut up into little pieces like babies.
Claire: Chicken. Chicken.

Alex: I ate more.
Mommy: You ate more rice? Good job!
Alex: Now I like rice.

Mommy: I'm glad you like rice, Alex.
Alex: Now I like rice.
Mommy: I'm glad.
Alex: Next time I didn't like any rice.
Mommy: Yeah.

(Daddy is giving Alex a sticker.)
Claire: Aw one. Shirt.

Alex: Mommy? Claire’s not sharing the box with me.
