(Daddy comes home from work.)
Alex: Oh - who's that? Oh it’s Daddy. Daddy’s home!
(Mommy sneezes.)
Alex: Bless you.

Alex: Bless you.
Mommy: Thank you.
Alex: You’re welcome.
(Alex laughs.)
Alex: You’re funny, Mommy.
Alex: Daddy will you play outside with me while Mommy – um – plays with Claire in the bathtub?
Alex: Can you talk about ping pong?
Alex: Can you talk about my day?
(Daddy tells Alex about Alex’s day.)
Daddy: Can you talk about my day?
Alex: What – what a – what you did at your work?
Daddy: You tell me.
Alex: I – but I’m busy. I’m busy, Daddy. I’m busy. I’m busy.
Daddy: I get it, Alex. You’re busy.
Alex: Talk about my day, Daddy – I don’t know it.
Daddy: Talk about my day, Alex.
Alex: But I don’t know about my day. You know about your day. Can you talk about my day?
(Daddy drains the bath water slowly so the pipes whine.)
Alex: I think that's a whale.
Daddy: No.
Alex: It’s a dolphin.
Daddy: No.
Alex: It’s a boy slipping.
Daddy: No.
Alex: How ‘bout teeth.
Daddy: What?
Alex: How ‘bout teeth?

Alex: It's a eye cacacaca.
Daddy: No.
Alex: Is it a octopus?
Daddy: No.
Alex: Is it a worm?
Daddy: No.
Alex: Is it a fish?

(Daddy pulls the drain all the way open.)
Alex: It’s water!
Mommy (to Claire): Can you say “mwah” to Daddy?
Claire: MAH!
Alex: Ewwwww… You have a nose runny.
The Daddy: I’m gonna go to work.
The Mommy: What am I gonna do?
The Daddy: You’re gonne go to work while Alex be’s at school.
The Daddy: Where’s my Alex? Oh there’s my Alex. There’s my Alex. I’m gonna take him to school. I found my Alex.
