(Alex laughs.)

Alex: I was doing the alphabet backwards.
(Alex laughs.)
Alex: I was being silly.
(breakfast)
Alex: Why do you have a flower on your shirt?
Claire: This – this not a shirt! This a bib!
(Claire comes home from school.)
Claire: I ate pasta.
Daddy: You ate pasta?
Claire: Yeah. It was really yummy.
Daddy: It was really yummy?
Claire: Yeah.
Daddy: You’re really cute.
Claire: I like pasta.
Alex: Can I read a book to you, Claire? Pleeease?
Claire: No.
Alex: Please, Claire? I don’t get to. I don’t very get to.
(Claire is crying. Alex is trying to read.)
Alex: You’re giving me a headache, Claire.
(Alex walks through the kitchen carrying a picture he just drew.)
Daddy: Wow, look at that!
Alex: Sh. It’s for Mommy.
(Alex finds Mommy in the dining room.)
Alex: Look what I made for you, Mommy.
Mommy: Oh I like it! What is it?
Alex: It’s Mommy, and Grommie, and Alex going for a walk.
Alex: But Mommy has a boo-boo.
