Whatever. No playroom.
Alex: Daddy?
Daddy: Yes, Alex?
Alex: On Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and Wednesday… I – I was sad. But on those days, I don’t like to go to school anymore.
Daddy: You don’t like to go to school anymore?
Alex: No. It’s not my good place to go!
Daddy: Why didn’t Mommy get you up?
Alex: I was grouchy, and I didn’t want them to get me up, but I’m not grouchy at you.
(Claire is carrying her baby doll around.)
Alex: Baby to the rescue!
Alex (angrily): Mmmmm!
Alex: I’m not happy, Claire.
Alex: I’m grouchy!
Alex: Mommy, would you like to go in the playroom?
Mommy: Um… okay.
(Long pause. Mommy doesn’t move.)
Alex: Whatever. No playroom.
