Alex (unprompted): I wanna wash hands.

(dinner time)

Alex (to Mommy): Can we eat your cake?

Alex (sad): I wanna - I wanna play something fun.

Alex (whiny): I don't want Claire to have cake.

Claire: Uh cake.
Mommy: Not yet, Claire.

Alex: Mommy, Daddy said after dinner we will ask Mommy and eat cake.

(Daddy is singing.)
Alex: You talk about – Daddy, you talk about the sun hit the pie.
Daddy: The sun hit the pie?
Mommy: The moon.

Daddy: Alex, do you want more to eat, ‘cause dinner’s almost over.
Alex: ‘Kay, if I eat more, uh, uh, one more, uh two more food, then I will get cake, uh, for everyone to eat.

Alex: We’re having cake, Daddy!
Daddy: Yeah.
(Alex lets out a bloodcurdling shriek.)
