Yeah, I drink it all day.
Alex: I like water.
Daddy: You like water?
Alex: Yeah, I drink it all day.
Alex: I have to scratch first.
Daddy: Okay.
Alex: Daddies don’t dry them when they scratch.
Daddy: Daddies don't dry who?
Alex: Alex, and other boys in their houses, and daddies don't dry them when they take a bath.
Alex: Mommy’s gonna take me to the dentist and the dentist’s gonna show me how to brush.
Daddy: Yeah.
(Pause.)
Alex: Then I'll come back and see you.
Daddy: Okay.
Daddy: What’s your name?
Alex: Alex.
Daddy: What's your last name?
Alex: Um, Alex.
Daddy: What's your middle name?
Alex: I'm not middle! I'm Alex!
Daddy: Oh I'm sorry.
Alex: You say Alex. I keep saying I'm Alex.
Daddy: Alex, what's your middle name?
Alex: I'm not middle. I'm Alex. You say I'm Alex.
Daddy: I'm Alex.
Alex: No I'm Alex. You’re Daddy.
Alex: Mommy, You can't come in when I'm playing house.
Alex: Daddy has to work, and I can play house with you.
Mommy: Okay.
Alex: Okay.
Alex (to Daddy): You work, Daddy.
